Boulevard Park Presbyterian Church, Seattle WA --- Report from Kim and Dan Fabrizio ------Christmas 2008 --- April 11, 2009
I had the opportunity to lead a team of nine people including my family to Uganda for a Christmas missions trip. The trip was a mighty work of an Awesome God who made it happen. We had to raise $25,000.00 for the trip which was a great challenge, but as you know nothing is too big for Our God. His careful attention over our trip started when we departed Seattle in freezing temperatures and lots of snow. After all of the team members departed on three different flights the airport closed and stayed closed for three days. We left frigid Seattle and arrived in balmy Kampala around midnight the following day with all of our bags.
The next day we began are work at Pastor Phillip Byamughisha's church in Kampala. This was the toughest day of the trip for me as I had to preach my first sermon and deal with the loss of my friend Pastor Phillip was had been praying for and anticipating our arrival for almost a year. Tragically Phillip died of malaria two-weeks before we arrived. The beautiful lady pictured below to the right is Harriet Byamughisha --Phillips wife. Despite the untimely death of her husband she was a fantastic host for our two-day conference at their church.
| We had a great time at Pastor Phillips church in Bwerenga and made many new friends including the very friendly and intelligent Christine who wants to be a doctor pictured on the left below with my daughter Christy Fabrizio. Despite the loss of their beloved pastor this church body was alive in the spirit and in many ways was an inspiration to our team. |
We were able to spend two days in Bwerenga which is only a few miles from ACTI headquarters in Kampala.
Team members got their feet wet teaching and preaching as well as giving their testimonies. The church is at a difficult point as it try's to find someone to take over the ministry that Phillip began. Please pray for them as they begin the search for a new leader that has the same vision as Phillip and Harriet. |

The Seattle team arrived at Lookout Ridge guest house at 10:00 saturday night. Despite the late hour Freddy Sseruyange, caretaker/cook of the house prepared stew, Irish Potatoes and pineapple for our team. Freddy is pictured here on the far left standing next to our friend Henry Mello who was a big part of our ministry team in Uganda. Both gentlemen are a big part of the ACTI team in Uganda. |

Unfortunately when they come back they infect their wives who are now slowly dying from aids
In Uganda it is quite common for women to have six children and this was the case here. We talked to three women in the village who had aids and didn't know for sure if their children were infected. We were able to help some with money for medicine, but were left with the feeling that we were just hitting the tip of the iceberg. Despite the hardships of life the people in this village were very joyful and loving, a trait that is common in Uganda. |

Rashid and Kefa have a church about five-miles from this village and the conference that we held in Ntanjeru is a result of the seeds that have been planted from their minstry in the Mukono area. They are planting churches and seeing people come to Christ. There is a great need for many more churches to be planted in this area. If you are interested in helping contact Rashid and he would be glad to talk to you. |

Our time in Uganda ended back at Lookout Ridge where Rashid and Joy lavished upon us a great culinary feast and provided special entertainment in the form of the Bethel Covenant Dancers. This trip was a tremendous blessing for our team. Except for Dan this was everyone's first trip to Uganda. The fears and apprehension that some on the team had were quickly dispelled. God provided for us in many ways. Rashid,Joy,Commander and Freddy took good care of us. As we planned this trip there was some debate about whether or not we should go over Christmas. After much prayer we decided to go and we are glad we did. No one on this team will ever forget the 2008 Christmas that we spent in Uganda.

Trinity Church Central Oahu ---- Report from Pastor Peter W. Anderson ------June 28, 2008
My dear friends and partners in ministry,
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
God poured out with abundance His blessings on our 2008 mission trip!
Much was accomplished and it is a joy to share some of the highlights with you:
1. All on the team had good health and we worked together like a team that had worked many months together. On our first full day, we had an intensive course in evangelism with Dr. Henry Krabbendam.
| 2. We dedicated the new church, Calvary Presbyterian Church, in Pece, part of Gulu, Uganda. In addition we ordained and installed the new pastor. About 500-600 children and 250 adults attended the first Sunday. |
|
|
3. Our medical clinic saw and treated 1386 patients, 278 of whom professed faith in Christ. We left behind medicine that will treat many more people.
