ACTI ensures Financial Accountability by the following:
• Governing Board: All ACTI officers and board members meet the following:
- Are personally involved in ministry in Uganda and understand the issues in third world ministry.
- Serve without remuneration and pay their own expenses to attend the annual ACTI board meeting.
- Review and verify the annual financial report.
• Bookkeeping for ACTI is done by a practicing CPA with commensurate integrity and accountability
• Funds raised by ACTI and ACTI team members are used as designated by the donor. Funds are raised for teams and not individuals as per IRS rules and regulations. These funds not only support the team, but underwrite ministry in Uganda
• Administrative Costs are limited to $100 per team member to help cover the costs of our support staff in Uganda Typically this amount is less than 3% of each dollar given. All functions of ACTI in the United States are handled by volunteers
• ACTI is a registered 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit Organization in the State of Tennessee and ACTM (our Uganda arm) is a registered NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) with the government of Uganda
